Reservoir Dorks

Jack and I have had this picture as an inside joke for a very long time. The X-Files has meant a great deal to the both of us. I adore Scully and Jack has come to identify strongly with Mulder, and early in our relationship he pointed out that because of this the on-screen relationship of these two FBI agents seemed like a fictional analog to our own. I'd certainly like to believe that Jack and I would come to the rescue of the other if an U.F.O. swooped down and abducted one of us from Earth. I'd also like to believe that we too could pull off the 90s trenchcoat-and-suit aesthetic, but the jury will be out on that one until every 90stastic item that crosses the threshold of this home stops bursting into flames. The ghost that haunts our house has yet to go through its hipster phase, you see.
We walked around the reservoir today, my tall brunette love interest and myself. The geese, ducks and swans are all out on the water, enjoying the warm day and the bread people throw to them. The trees are still thin and skeletal, but here and there some green has come out. It's one of those spring days where everyone dresses for either winter or summer and then suffers accordingly.
Jack thought up the name of this entry. It's a play on Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs," one of Jack's favorite heist flicks. If I were to ever stage a heist, though, I don't think I would go for diamonds. Diamonds are boring. They're just kind of colorless and clear. I think that I'd go for fire opals.
